I am currently working as a Field Account Manager for Sartorius South Africa, a biotechnology/biopharmaceutical equipment & consumables manufacturer and supplier. In 2019, I worked, as a Key Account Manager, for CompAir, part of the Gardener Denver & Ingersol Rand Groups, a leading global provider of air compression and vacuum technology. Prior to the latter company, I was a Health & Nutrition Specialist Sales Representative at AECI, Lake Foods, which is a company that services and supplies raw materials/specialty ingredients and commodities from leading international companies, into the dairy, beverage, wine, meat, bakery, and health & nutrition industries. I was also appointed as a Senior Sales Representative for Paint Raw Chemicals at Curechem, within the detergents and paints division. Previously, I was a Key Account Manager for Shimadzu, a company that provides a broad range of analytical instruments indispensable for research, development, and quality control in a variety of fields. I was a National Sales Consultant for Avantedge, an IT solutions company for the Healthcare Industry. I was a Key Account Manager & Specialist Sales Consultant for Sigma Aldrich (acquired by Merck), a life-science/high technology company, which markets, sells and distributes chemical, biochemical, analytical and other related products. Their chemical and biochemical and analytical products and or kits are used in scientific research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, the diagnosis of disease, and as key components in high technology manufacturing such as the food, personal care, mining and the petrochem sectors. In 2010, I worked as a National Food Microbiology Sales Consultant for Dehteq, a leading animal and public health company, for the marketing, distribution and technical support of biological diagnostic, food safety & monitoring products to the agricultural, personal care, cosmetic and food & water industries.

I am an extremely hard-working, dedicated and confident individual, with interests in many fields such as the medical, health & life sciences. I enjoy working in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical, food, life sciences, research and sales & marketing. I enjoy challenges and I am a person of loyalty and integrity. At University, I have acquired sound knowledge and experience working with many types of chemicals and reagents, and have gathered tremendous knowledge of the Biotechnology industry. I am familiar with molecular and cellular biosciences with laboratory experience and knowledge in many courses of biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, plant pathology, botany, virology and chemistry. I have a good track record; able to multitask, and able to work well under pressure. I have managed a molecular laboratory by having senior laboratory responsibilities for a number of years. I have good administrative, leadership, negotiation and managerial skills. I also have advanced knowledge of computer literacy such as MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel. I have acquired good analytical, conceptual and writing skills and I am able to make sound judgments. I regard myself as being an individual that is innovative, having a sound technical knowledge, reliable and a lateral thinker. I appreciate and value proper team work with many individuals whether from a diverse culture background or/and with different scientific disciplines. Sales and Marketing has allowed me to expose my excellent communication, organizational skills, negotiation skills, and has allowed me to acquire a high level of strategic planning and management of resources. 

I am an easy going, energetic and charismatic individual, however I work smart and efficiently with inner drive and determination. I am a career driven individual, always striving to do my best. I enjoy meeting and interacting with people tremendously, sharing knowledge and ways of life from one another. I believe that my outspoken, witty, influencing and friendly nature is an added advantage to my interpersonal and negotiation skills, however I am always willing to acquire more skills and knowledge. Besides my passion for science, I love working in the world of sales and marketing. I have received training in Professional Sales Skills, Professional Presentation Skills, Accounts Management courses which has given me the commercial background and sales knowledge to appreciate and embrace the marketing world. My experience as a Key Accounts Manager, has allowed me to explore my own unique persona, enthusiastically pursue my career in Sales, and learn much more about the chemical, medical, health, science, food and water industries.

I am currently a Key Account Manager in the Biotechnology Industry. My portfolio includes numerous industries that I have insight into such as I am familiar with the Medical, Biopharmaceuticals, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Mining, Research & Development Industries. I have a Master's Degree in Sciences with majors in Genetics and Microbiology. I am passionate about sales, marketing and have a driving edge in the scientific industry. I am a confident, dynamic, professional, adaptable person with a positive attitude. Amongst my many skills, I have great interpersonal, negotiation, administration, computer and organizational skills.

I have a Masters Degree in Science - Genetics, Microbiology & Animal Sciences. I completed my university tertiary education at the University of KwaZulu Natal. I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree.
