  • Assist Audio Mixer
  • Microphone set ups in studio and on location
  • Equipment checking
  • Charge and manage batteries and department consumables
  • Collect info for administration such as the cue sheets
  • Do all paper work associated with audio department e.g. labels, cue sheets
  • Work with crew
  • Trouble shooting when necessary
  • Ensure presenters and guest are ready to go on air
  • Ensure that no cables are showing
  • Brief and usher presenters and guest

Qualifications and Experience:


  • A relevant tertiary qualification in media (preferably audio related)
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in a live broadcast environment
  • Knowledge of audio principles
  • Understanding of language of television, production and role players
  • Understanding of the broadcast and digital environment
  • Ability to take instruction
  • Ability to troubleshoot
  • Well mannered and have good communication skills
  • Team player
  • Be computer literate
  • Good hearing
  • Able to work under pressure and make deadlines
  • Must be able to work without supervision and take responsibility
  • Work in a multi camera and outside broadcast environment
