Requirements:


  • A relevant degree in the Built Environment
  • Minimum eight (8) years' relevant experience
  • Extensive managerial experience
  • Computer literacy
  • A valid driver's licence
Key Performance Areas

engineering, town planning and architecture to manage integrated

human settlement programmes

  • Initiate, conceptualise and direct the planning and implementation
of a portfolio of projects to ensure the district is positioned to

facilitate the seamless delivery of integrated human settlements;
related housing projects and programmes to communities

  • Coordinate, prioritise, plan and implement state housing
projects/development to ensure the different programmes of the

City and other Government institutions are coordinated within

budget

  • Manage the financial aspects of the projects including feasibility
and budgeting

  • Manage all compliance and quality aspect inclusive of project
administration to ensure quality and legal compliances

  • Manage required deliverable associated with utilisation, productivity
and performance of reporting personnel

  • Manage appointment of consultants and contractors and ensure
that the consultants are managed effectively to ensure the required

outcomes are achieved

  • Ensure alignment with national, provincial and City legislation and
policy to ensure legal compliance and address required outcomes

related to human settlement development and skills development

  • Manage all functional and operational information on the
immediate, medium
- and long-term objectives and current

developments, problems and constraints to ensure information,

advice or opinions on relevant matters is made available and/or

communicated through the various mediums and is accurately

interpreted

  • Manage and coordinate the Directorate's recordkeeping systems
