Faircom, part of the Faircape Group, is a leading Internet Service Provider (ISP) and Fibre Network Operator (FNO) that connects you to the Internet through high-speed & uncapped fibre solutions, wireless fibre packages and VoIP connections.
We work with leading underlying infrastructure providers (including our own) which boasts a connection to the various Data Centres both locally and Internationally.
We are looking for an
IT Infrastructure administrator **to manage a team of technicians, scheduling and reporting on site visits, installations and maintenance work.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Commercial / Customers
- Relationship management
- Ensuring that the business products & service offerings stays competitive and in line with marketrelated offerings
- Client Communications
Staff Management
- Deadline tracking
- Performance appraisals
- Scheduling between admin and technicians for installations and site visits
- Staff upliftment
Server / Datacenter rooms
- Management of all data rooms and node rooms, ensuring the technicians keep them to a standard
- Documentation of node rooms
- Managing teams of technicians
- Keeping track of outages and responding accordingly
- Scheduled changes
Installations
- Management of last mile fibre and wireless installations
- Documenting all areas of work
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management, and/or Project Management advantageous
Experience and knowledge
- Proven work experience in a similar role
- Experience leading and managing projects
- Installing key infrastructure
- Facilities management, stock, procurement
- Fiber and ethernet technologies
Skills and attributes
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Proven organizational and administration skills
- Customer service orientated ensuring corporate and residential customers are happy
- Project management skills
- Ability to manage a team
- Deadline driven
- Results oriented, high energy, selfmotivated
- Ability to convey technical knowledge, liaise with providers and deal with issues proactively
Specific requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Clear health record

We offer Barista produced coffee available all day to all our staff at Claremont.
Salary on offer from R Cost To Company per month. The amount offered will be
dependent on qualifications, experience, and other market-related factors.
