  • Key Performance Areas:
  • Repair and maintain digital printers
  • Calibrate and generating of ICC profiles and colour match machines to obtain standards.
  • Administration of job cards and proved feedback
  • Train staff where needed on the routine maintenance of machines and upkeep.
  • Train staff on the advanced operation of machines
  • Maintenance of various machines operating software load and back up relevant software and printer drivers.
  • Compile of PM calendar
  • Compile and control of digital spares list and stock levels
  • Train operators in advanced of operation of machines
  • Productivity improvement projects and cost saving opportunities
  • Assist in other positions / departments as and when required
  • Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring PPE compliance.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards
    Inherent Requirements
  • Standard 10 / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Minimum N2 Qualification in Electrical engineering and/or electronics
  • 35 years' experience as a digital Technician or similar roll in a technical and mechanical environment is required
  • Proficiency in English both verbally and in writing
  • Computer literate (MS Office)
  • Must be prepared to work overtime / weekends / shifts in accordance with operational requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Large Format digital printers UV, Solvent, Inkjet, and Sublimation (Roland, Mimaki, Hp Latex, Inkjet and UV roll to roll and flatbed printers)
  • Knowledge of digital printing processes.
  • Must be technically minded and able troubleshoot and isolated a fault and correct it.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Knowledge of following RIP software would be an advantage (Ergo-Soft, Roland VersaWorks, Caldera, ONXY and RasterLink)
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
