Responsibilities:


Actively market, sell and grow ingredients and additives in Health and Pharmaceutical markets to current and new customers in South Africa.

Customer base growth & increase market share in Health and Nutrition markets nationally.
Identify new market and product opportunities.
Multi-level relationships and price negotiations at customers.
Negotiate sales contracts with customers.
Management of customer pricing margins.
Assist in management of working capital within company targets.
Assist in driving working platform pipe line and key projects across the business.
Prepare annual sales budget, monthly forecasts and monthly sales reports.
Provides timely reports and information as required by management.
Ensure the visit reports and customers details are entered and updated into the CRM system or similar.
Promotion of company products and image.
Meeting tight deadlines across the business.
New business development together with Business Managers & Business Development Managers.
Technical presentations at customers & ensuring appropriate joint calls.
Understand and be able to react to changes within the food & beverage industry.
Work with all support functions (business co-ordinators, internal sales, finance, technical) to ensure smooth operation of the business
Maintenance of Zero Harm principles across areas of responsibility.


Requirements:

BSc / N Dip in Food Science, Food Technology, Medical technology, Biochemistry, qualification.
Minimum 5 years sales experience in the Health and Pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of excipients and APIs will be given priority.
Proven sales track record.
Business development experience.


Computer literacy:
advanced in Excel, Word, Power-point.
Business qualification will be an advantage.
Syspro or SAP experience would be an advantage.
