Our client has an opportunity available for a Field Service Mechanic in the Mobile Cranes department.


Requirements:


  • Matric
  • Valid driver's license.
  • SAQA accredited qualification as a diesel mechanic / earthmoving mechanic.
  • 5 to 10 years' experience as a mechanic.
  • Proven track record in fault finding and repairs on mobile cranes.

Responsibilities:


  • Undertake vehicle / equipment inspections and checks.
  • Diagnosis and fault finding as per the job card instructions.
  • Identify parts to be replaced or repaired.
  • Submit parts and consumables requisition to supervisor.
  • Fix and fit parts and consumables as required.
  • Ensure that work quality is consistent with prescribed standards.
  • Ensure all machines, equipment and gear is in a safe working condition and left in a safe working condition on completion of repairs.
  • Isolate the unit before leaving site.
  • Conform with the departments job card procedure.
