CAREER OPPORTUNITY IN HR WITH LEADING BUSINESS SCHOOL BASED IN JOHANNESBURG
***Salary R520-R600K

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Talent management and Recruitment
  • Training and Development of staff
  • Performance Management
  • Employee Wellness
  • IR issues
  • Consult on organisational restructures
  • Manage the ongoing review and improvement of HR policies and procedures
  • Provide quality HR advice to line management
  • Manage orientation process for new employees
  • Prepare Payroll on Excel which is then outsourced to Labout Net for processing
  • Reward and recognition:
This would include managing and co-ordinating annual salary and benchmarking against external data to ensure competitiveness with the SA job market as well as bonus calculations together with the remuneration committee

  • Employee relations which includes counselling and mentoring of staff
  • Keeping abreast with HR best practice and relevant legislation
  • Be responsible for other services which fall under the HR umbrella including staff birthdays and other functions and events, team building etc

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be in possession of an appropriate
    tertiary degree (NQF 7 minimum) ( Honours degree (NQF8) highly preferred)
  • Must have recent and current experience within
    professional services (Experience in the Higher Education industry will be given preference)
  • The client is looking for a seasoned HR professional with
    58 years' experience in HR Operations
  • High attention to detail is essential
  • A selfstarter who requires mínimal supervision

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE

  • MS Office EXPERT Proficiency (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Expertise in the Behavioural sciences
  • Knowledge of HR framework including, legislation requirements (ie Labour Relations Act, EE Act, BCEA, Skills Development Act)
  • Prior experience navigating Labour Net HRIS system will be helpful
