Description

Our client, a supplier of fresh produce is looking for a
Market Buyer to join their team at their Cape Town Branch.

The successful applicant must be proactive, energetic, have good time management and communication skills, have numerical attributes and be determined to succeed in this demanding role.

Roles & Responsibilities included but not limited to:

Sourcing produce and negotiating a wholesale price that fits with the employer's budget
Create contacts with wholesalers or directly with growers
Perform inspections to verify the quality of the products that you plan to purchase
Continuously search for suppliers who can offer quality products at affordable prices
Reporting to senior management

Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Administration, or a related field
23 years experience as a Buyer of fresh produce (a must)
Must have own vehicle and drivers license reimbursement for petrol
Must be an early riser (start time 4am)

Salary:

Up to R30 000pm CTC depending on experience
