Qualifications/Experience

BSc Engineering (or equivalent) with more than 5 years experience in a technical environment.
Further education in the field of Quality Management is an advantage.
Several years in engineering and quality processes preferably in the automotive industry, particularly in the field of supplier management & process Improvement.

Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for planning and managing all measures for preventative quality assurance to ensure that the parts in his/her parts spectrum are ready for series production and their quality meets the clients specifications
Establish quality targets for startup & series production and ensures these targets are continually measured and achieved.
Ensure a technical knowledge of the problems being experienced, so that correct decisions can be made in terms of their containment, corrective actions, and ways to prevent a reoccurrence.
Facilitate containment and proactively reduce Series supplier quality related topics.
In the event of nonconforming material being identified in the plant, initiate, and manage the defect eradication process and ensure that the necessary actions take place timely.
Responsible and accountable to ensure total internal customer satisfaction regarding the quality of the parts within the relevant client manufacturing areas.
Initiate and support the escalation process, when and where appropriate.
Drive continuous improvement within all the departmental quality gates.
Responsible to ensure the optimum performance from subordinates in the achievement of their tasks and targets.
