PURPOSE

You will engage with the following stakeholders:

  • Head Human Capital
  • Exco
  • HCSec, Remuneration Committee and other governance bodies
  • Internal Business Units, stakeholders and bodies
  • Finance team

Your key responsibilities include:
Employee salary and incentive offers and review processes

  • You will be responsible for reviewing employee salary offers and increases to ensure they are in line with available budget, are appropriately forecasted and that any required exceptional approvals are requested and obtained.
  • Input to the design and implementation of total reward statements for all employees. Research and review Employee Value Proposition and propose enhancements to the appropriate governance bodies for changes or updates, and manage implementation on approval including optimising tax efficiency
  • Manage the implementation of annual bonuses including developing schedules, obtaining appropriate approvals and releasing payments or approving for release
  • Manage the implementation of the annual salary review results in line with the performance rating including engagement with managers, obtaining approval.
  • Support the implementation of long term incentives and reward systems
Employee Costs/Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Participate in salary, budget planning, and other surveys conducted by vendors, by obtaining and analysing external and internal data and providing recommendations for internal use
  • Actively participate in data modelling in partnership with the finance and payroll functions
  • Produce the people cost insert into the Annual Business plan and restatement process during the year covering the headcount recon as well as reconciling the movement in the staff cost number (owned by Human Capital)
Employee Cost Budget Control

  • Oversee the design and implementation of specific components of complex and largescale strategic global compensation initiatives including benchmarking
Employee Cost Analysis and Reporting

  • Provide Reward and Benefit analysis and data support to the wider HR team
  • Present recommendations on initiatives and influence stakeholders through strong relationship building, analytics and thoughtful interpretation of findings.
  • Build reports and dashboards to give stakeholders visibility into relevant HC metrics.
  • Preparation of relevant Waterfalls and other graphs and charts to unpack performance on staff costs and related variances
  • Work with HC team to ensure alignment on headcount numbers reported on per area and effectively reporting on changes
  • Act as an internal consultant to varying business groups (human capital, finance, legal, operations forum, etc.) on all people analytics related matters.
  • Perform analytics and reporting to support monthly, quarterly, annual and forecasting business requirements, including long range planning
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

  • Finance/Business/Quantitative qualification, ideally at honours level
  • Numeracy essential
  • Previous finance experience and exposure within a business partnering function preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Payroll process and systems highly advantageous
  • Relevant up to date Certifications highly advantageous
  • Required computer literacy levels.
  • Accpac/Sage (Advanced)
  • Microsoft office suite (Advanced)
  • TM1/IBM Analytics
  • MS 365 knowledge advantageous
EXPERIENCE/KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum 7 years experience in a similar role of which at least 2 years at a senior level
  • In a medium to large organisation
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent data handling and numeracy skills
  • Sound analytical skills, problem solving, interpretation and judgement
  • Advanced MS Excel (including functions, pivot tables, macros)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and with our external system providers
  • Proactive, outgoing, open to new ideas and learning and inquisitive
  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with and influence Stakeholders
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to deliver to targets and deadlines including when working under pressure.
  • Positive approach and 'cando' attitude.
  • Ability to work independently while being a strong team player
