Description
A social media specialist is required by an advertising agency in Brandwacht Office Park, Stellenbosch.

The agency handles a range of brands and specialises in the marketing of shopping centres, so the pace is fast and the deadlines tight, necessitating a highly organised, focused and capable person with experience on all platforms of social media to stay on top of the social media sites of various brands.


As the social media/digital manager, you will:
Be able to write a social media/digital strategy and content plans, both annual and campaign focussed strategies
Build an online presence through social media and digital platforms that form part of the integrated marketing strategy for various brands in the retail sector
Assist the marketing teams and clients by providing social media/digital insights and trend analysis, tailor-made for their specific brands
Long-term planning and unique ideas for achieving objectives and marketing various brands
Social and digital alignment of all campaigns across the appropriate platforms
Creating ads on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as monitoring and reporting
Monitor, measure and report on all activities to ensure that objectives are being achieved according to pre-set KPI's
Regular monitoring of all ad campaigns ensuring that ads are performing and spending funds appropriately
Be in a constant learning mode to be abreast of the latest trends, standards, tools and international developments in the social space
Have a good working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, Google Ads and related digital channels like websites, online advertising and e-newsletter imbedding
Work in close relationship with the creative director and creative team in brainstorms and creative solutions for campaigns


Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in social media/digital marketing. Other digital platform qualifications a bonus
Minimum three to five years of experience in various social media platforms and online engagements
Excellent communication skills; written, verbal interpersonal and presentation
Strong knowledge of media monitoring, research, analysis, meaurement and report generation
Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the mechanics of growing online follower bases and engagement
Strong administrative skills
Effective interpersonal skills, working well across functions and platforms
A high energy level and entrepreneurial drive, topped by an infectious passion for social media and digital marketing
Must be able to perform under pressure and cope effectively in a fast pace dynamic marketing environment
Quick, dynamic, out of the box problem-solving skills
