Project
A commissioning crew for a FNLG vessel working offshore Western Africa.


Job Summary
The Scaffolders Foreman will supervise the Scaffolders and oversee all scaffolding activities on the FLNG vessel. They will work closely with other commissioning teams to ensure scaffolding is efficiently deployed and maintained.


Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of scaffolders, providing direction, guidance, and support.
  • Assign tasks, prioritize work, and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely project completion.
  • Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork among team members.

Scaffold Planning and Design:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scaffold requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to design appropriate scaffold structures that meet safety standards and project needs.

Scaffold Installation and Dismantling:

  • Oversee the proper assembly, erection, and dismantling of scaffold structures according to industry standards and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure scaffolding components are correctly positioned, secured, and stabilized to provide safe working platforms.

Safety Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, fall protection measures, and relevant regulations during scaffold operations.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings, hazard assessments, and inspections to mitigate risks.

Quality Control:

  • Inspect scaffolds for structural integrity, stability, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Address any deficiencies or issues promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken.

Resource Management:

  • Coordinate scaffold material procurement, storage, and inventory management.
  • Optimize resource allocation, including labor and equipment, to achieve efficient scaffold installations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of scaffold installations, modifications, inspections, and dismantling activities.
  • Generate progress reports, safety reports, and other documentation as required by project management.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Liaise with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate scaffold activities and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, providing clear instructions and facilitating open communication.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and provide onthejob training to scaffold team members.
  • Promote skill development and continuous improvement among team members.

Qualifications

  • Relevant certification in scaffolding.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Scaffolder, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous offshore experience
  • Experience working on a project (commissioning/construction/hookup)
  • Need to be comfortable working offshore for 23 months
  • Valid Passport
  • Possess the following certifications: BOSIET/FOET, OGUK Medical, Yellow Fever card, Fully vaccinated against COVID19
