Our client,
Colourbox is
hiring a
Store Manager for their
V&A Waterfront branch (Cape Town).

This role requires the management of a retail store focusing on boutique lifestyle brands with high-profile clientele.


The purpose of this role is to ensure excellent client service through efficient people management, merchandising, stock management, administration and financial management.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing business strategies to raise our customer pool, expand store traffic and optimise profitability.
  • Meeting sales targets by driving, training, motivating, and mentoring all staff.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards.
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase foot flow and conversions into sales.
  • Manage all Inventory, Stock Management & Stock takes in store.
  • Communicate effectively on critical stock needs.
  • Have sound financial management skills to ensure the store stays within budget and profitable.
  • Be a shining example of high performance, work ethic, great attitude (particularly optimism) and showcase leadership qualities in motivating your store team.
  • Effectively manage all staff related aspects (training, performance appraisals, disciplinaries, coaching, team building etc)
  • Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.) with business owners support.
  • Assist on all peoplerelated aspects (recruitment, onboarding, growth and succession planning, training and development, employee wellness and culture etc)
  • Manage and drive store meetings & individual staff meetings
  • Additional store manager duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Matric (Grade 12)
  • At least of 2 years' experience in the Boutique Retail industry
  • At least 4 years' experience in a retail Store Management position
  • 35 years of people management experience in a retail environment
