Engagement Officer - Durban, South Africa - Synergy Contact Centre

Job Purpose:
Synergy Contact Centre is currently looking for a Engagement Officer to join our company.
In this role, you'll be responsible for planning, organising and managing marketing campaigns, promotional events and projects from conception through to completion, in line with agreed requirements and Synergy brand guidelines.
Job Objectives:
- Creating and Maintaining
- Maintaining a strategic forward look of events
- Coordinate events (receptions, dinners etc.), including drafting/updating guest lists, sending out invitations and collating RSVPs
- Acting as the main point of contact for external suppliers for events, including building and maintaining these relationships
- Developing an extensive contacts database
- Liaising with the Manager, Comms team, and others involved in events/engagement
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Advantageous: Degree in Marketing
- BPO Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Engagement Officer Role
- Strong understanding of the contact centre industry.
Job Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Fluency in English both written and oral
- Confident and creative communication and accurate drafting and writing ability.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong people skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a busy team.
- Previous event management experience.
- Good customer service skills.
- Priorities flexibly and use own initiative to deliver to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work to frequent and tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work
- Conduct video and photography editing
- Produce quality photographs
- Creating social media content
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Advantageous: Previously worked in the entertainment industry, DJ Skills

Salary:
Up to R7,500.00 per month

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
