Our client, a national packaging company, has a vacancy for an HR Officer at their KZN office, based in

There is a possibility that this fixed-term contract may become permanent.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Recruitment covering all aspects of the recruitment function (5060% of the role)
HR Admin, contracts, new hire documentation, benefits and terminations for wage and salary staff
Induction/Orientation of new staff
Assist with Reception cover from time to time
Assist with training interventions, catering, and course preparation when Training Coordinator needs assistance or is on leave
Completing weekly and monthly HR reports.
Coordinating all relevant celebration days and employee events
Attend 12 company charity events held on a Saturday
Assist on coordinating all CSI and wellness initiatives
Assisting with EE and other legislative reports, meetings, and HR functions (training will be given as required)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERICS REQUIRED

An HR or Psychology Degree or National diploma essential (with Industrial Psychology

specialization)

Excellent Excel and Word skills (intermediate to advanced level)

years HR officer, or 5 years' Recruitment/Talent Specialist experience, ideally within a unionized environment

Exposure to events/events coordinating advantageous
Own transport, and flexibility if required to work late, or travel to other plants off site when needed
Ability to handle pressure
High levels of energy, patience, and tolerance
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to organize and plan
Resilient and able to assert themselves when needed
Passion for people and processes
Able to work over the Dec/Jan period (1 week off between Christmas and New Year)
Able to begin ASAP
