ABOUT THE ROLE:

Looking for a passionate, fun and dedicated person to join the team as a technical trainer. This role will be based in Johannesburg and will require extensive travel throughout South Africa, and into sub-Saharan Africa.


Creative, engaging and fun with incredible attention to detail, this role will involve creating and facilitating world-class software training courses on macOS, iOS and iPadOS in the classroom and virtual environments.

The role will require above-average knowledge of Apple's devices, products and services, along with superb troubleshooting and presentation skills.


Key performance outputs:


Defining instructional goals for participants
Key tasks

  • Develops learning objectives using Bloom's taxonomy framework,
  • Utilises needs analysis to gather data for training interventions,
  • Create quizzes and assessments aligned with instructional objectives,

Creation of instructional materials
Key tasks

  • Uses ADDIE methodology to properly develop instructional materials,
  • Review sources and materials to develop and update training materials,
  • Develops materials with a 30% instruction 70% hand on the balance of material,
  • Utilise formative assessments and quizzes to develop participant understanding,
  • Creates summative assessments to certify understanding,

Outstanding delivery of classroom materials
Key tasks

  • Ensures devices are maintained in the best working order,
  • Administration of learning events or classes,
  • Promoting learner engagement,
  • Delivery of continuous, highquality training sessions,
  • Maintain instructional materials within an organised filesystem,
  • Ensure the presentation of always present on the latest material,

Evaluation of learning through assessments
Key tasks

  • Uses learning outcomes to develop assessments,
  • Ensures assessments are relevant to realworld scenarios,
  • Maintains assessments securely,

Evaluating instruction and course performance
Key tasks

  • Compile progress reports for each course delivered,
  • Assess instructor performance through survey results monthly,
  • Assess learner performance through results of summative assessments monthly,

Key skills, experience and qualifications required:

  • Excellent, engaging presentation skills,
  • Attention to detail,
  • Above average written English skills,
  • A minimum of two years working as a technical consultant,
  • Apple Certified Support Professional certification preferred,
  • Qualification on minimum iOS repair courses preferred,
