FP&A Analyst

We're your dream finance team

Mimecast is looking to recruit an experienced finance professional for the position of FP&A Analyst.

In this role you will help drive the company's day-to-day financial planning and analysis, management reporting operations, and business transaction support activities.

You will be expected and empowered to drive improvements to our FP&A processes. This is an opportunity to have a significant impact at a leading company in the cybersecurity industry.

What you'll do

  • Develop, analyze, and report financial and operating results; improve forecast accuracy and visibility
  • Serve as a key partner to the R&D and Technical Operations organizations with a focus on headcount management, vendor cost planning/reporting and CapEx planning/reporting
  • Participate in the preparation and review of annual budgets as well as the maintenance of rolling annual forecast in Mimecast's financial planning system (Adaptive Planning) to ensure financial goals are met
  • Participate in the evolution and execution of financial reporting for various business partners
  • Perform adhoc projects and financial analysis for FP&A team and for stakeholders in R&D and Technical Operations
What you'll bring

  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with both collaborating on global team projects and working independently
  • Demonstrated proficiency in budgeting and reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Highly organized and detailoriented, with the ability to multitask
  • Flexible problem solver willing to challenge the statusquo
  • Ability to respond and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines
  • Strong professional work ethic
  • Demonstrated success using ERP systems (Netsuite preferred) and financial planning systems such as Adaptive Planning
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting
  • A Degree in Finance and/or Accounting, or equivalent
  • Financial analysis experience
