Description
Lead and coach the factory management team and employees.

  • Ensure a safe working environment.
  • Deliver quality products to spec and on time.
  • Physical Overview and supervision of production on the shop floor.
  • Ensure that Products are produced in accordance to specification and quality standards;
  • Production Planning including stock controlling and transport management.
  • Management of budgets, investment planning and cost control within your department.
  • Monitoring and replenishing all Raw materials and compound within department.
  • Implement best practice to achieve improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Efficiency.
  • Produce and ship on time while maintaining high quality product.
  • Inventory Management of raw material and finished goods stock in Departments.
  • Possess strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
  • Skilled in managing multiple priorities and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • The manager has complete P& L responsibility for department.
  • Supervise the product release process to ensure only passed products are dispatched.
  • Ensure that all production equipment and infrastructure needed for production are used according to work instructions and that maintenance in carried out on them timeously.

Required Qualification / Educational background
Grade 12

Qualification is Production Management or Business Management or equivalent.

Industrial or Mechanical engineering qualification advantageous.


  • - 5 Years in similar role.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent communication, numeracy and computer literacy skills.
  • Good people management skills and management of staff.
  • Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimise risk.
  • Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with various teams.
  • Strong problemsolving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.
  • Being results and deadline driven.
