The Capital Hotels and Apartments is looking for an Internal Auditor based in Sandton.




Role Overview:


The Internal Auditor will be involved in designing and executing audit processes, procedures, and methods, developing and overseeing tailored audit programs, planning and conducting operational audits to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal audit standards.


Main Areas of Focus:

  • Lead scheduled audits from planning to reporting in line with professional standards
  • Define audit scopes, assign internal controls, and assess risk areas
  • Execute risk-based operational audits
  • Document audit findings and recommendations
  • Engage with management on corrective actions
  • Compile Audit and Executive Summary reports
  • Advocate for efficiency enhancements and cost-saving opportunities
  • Evaluate internal controls and risk areas efficiency and effectiveness
  • Uphold high ethical standards and exercise discretion
  • Assist in implementing audit tools for improved efficiencies
  • Develop and update Internal Audit policies and procedures
  • Prepare and submit Internal Audit Plan to Management
  • Coordinate special audits and projects with minimal supervision
  • Fulfill other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • Matric with Mathematics pass
  • Minimum 3 years internal auditing experience
  • SAICA Qualified (Fresh out of articles preferred)
  • Familiarity with auditing concepts and procedures
  • Efficient time management and multitasking abilities
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 15%
  • Strong SOP establishment skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Salary: R40,000 - R50,000.00 per month
