We are now looking for a Coffee Specialist to be based in Estcourt Factory.


In this role you will be responsible to develop and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, maintaining process documents.

Design and testing of new processes, systems, and standards to maintain the efficiency of production.


A day in the life of a Coffee Specialist:

  • Throughout the process and with the checks carried out, the specialist will observe whether the parameters are adjusted to the dictated running conditions or must make variations for the proper functioning of the installation.
  • Know the different technologies of extraction, evaporation and spray drying process with strong governance of Best Manufacturing Practices per section.
  • Lead, coordinate and implement continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing activities in the factory.
  • Provide technical support to the factory to optimize process performance and implement new technologies.
  • Support and identify requirements for development and industrialization of new products.

Manufacturing Excellence:


  • Identify opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs and optimize process efficiency.
  • Lead or support initiatives to implement and sustain best manufacturing practices.
  • Provide technical support to factory on identifying root causes of problems on manufacturing and product quality issues and give recommendations.
  • Increase knowledge within factory staff through training and development of Subject Matter Experts on key technologies.
  • Lead and deliver key Idea to Launch projects.
  • Lead initiatives on harmonization of recipes and materials for cost optimization.
  • Lead material flow mass balance across processes to identify and optimize on manufacturing losses.

What will make you successful?

  • BSc in Chemical/Mechanical/Food Science
  • Experience in coffee or beverage manufacturing processes
  • Experience in people management
  • Expertise in product development or R&D with strong knowledge of the product category and its technologies
