Description

The focus of the OEM Sales Analyst is to provide assistance to National & Regional Sales Managers, through data analysis; recommended strategies, tactics and programs that will facilitate the increase in vehicle throughput.

To evaluate market competition and price trends in the automotive industry for strategic planning.


Duties and responsibilities not limited to:

Dealer Sales Targets:
  • Calculation, analysis and control of National Dealer targets.
  • Establishment of Regional potential with regard to targets, sales and monitoring of National Dealer performance to target.
  • Assisting National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers with Dealer AOR sales analysis/trends.
  • Assisting National Sales Manager with Dealer performance to target analysis and marketing intelligence.
  • Assessment of consistently underperforming Dealers and together with Regional Sales Manager, making recommendations regarding targets and allocation to the National Sales Manager.

Dealer Allocations:


  • Calculating and determining Regional and Dealer allocation splits.
  • Liaising with Corporate Sales Department regarding volume deals.
  • Request and collate dealer quarterly commitments.
  • Understand dealer commitments vs. offtake.

Dealer Incentives:


  • Assisting the National Sales Manager in developing Dealer sales incentive proposals and budget.
  • Analysing Dealer performance on approved Dealer incentive programs.
  • Compiling summary reports of Dealer incentives to Finance for payment and audit.

Sales Environment:


  • Analysing sales trends and opportunities
  • Providing marketing intelligence reports to National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers.
  • Calculating retail and wholesale efficiencies.
  • Track daily retail sales and wholesale.
  • Accurately calculate, plan and action sales ordering taking into account stock, retail plan, retail efficiencies and objectives.

Dealer Forecasts:


  • Providing Dealer sales forecast input to monthly National forecast meeting.
  • Coordinating weekly Dealer sales forecast reports.
  • Establishing core reasons / agreements / rationale explaining changes in forecasts and movements.

Other:


  • Map and maintain dealer floor plan requirements.
  • Manage and maintain the dealer incentive budget.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Degree in Business or related
  • Current experience in same or similar role in the Automotive Industry is essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid drivers license
  • High Excel proficiency
