Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Forestry Sector is looking to employ a Buyer to join their dynamic team in Ugie.
- Deliver a professional service to internal customers and ensure that the
- Ensure that an efficient buying service is rendered at all times
- Expediting outstanding/overdue orders
- Identify new and alternative suppliers and products
- Update, monitor and manage stock levels
- Ensure that all administrative systems are up to date and conform to policies
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Job Requirements:
- Grade 1
- Diploma in purchasing
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Buying, or proven purchasing experience, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
- Contract management and supplier experience
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and components and supply chain management
- High ERP system acumen
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Advanced Excel skills
