Opportunity Available Our leading client in the Forestry Sector is looking to employ a Buyer to join their dynamic team in Ugie.


  • Deliver a professional service to internal customers and ensure that the
- required items are available on time and at the optimum price

  • Ensure that an efficient buying service is rendered at all times
  • Expediting outstanding/overdue orders
  • Identify new and alternative suppliers and products
  • Update, monitor and manage stock levels
  • Ensure that all administrative systems are up to date and conform to policies
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment

Job Requirements:


  • Grade 1
  • Diploma in purchasing
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Buying, or proven purchasing experience, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
  • Contract management and supplier experience
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes and components and supply chain management
  • High ERP system acumen
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Advanced Excel skills
