We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Risk Division. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Underwriting and Claims department. Your role will involve collaborating with senior and junior management to ensure efficient processes and optimal performance.


Responsibilities:


  • Liaise between senior management, junior management, and operations staff.
  • Implement best business practices and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement work policies and procedures for each business unit.
  • Monitor and analyze existing processes for quality assurance.
  • Meet operational targets and strategies set by executive teams.
  • Handle operational requirements for binder contracts and mergers/acquisitions.
  • Participate in developing and adhering to operations budgets.
  • Assist in setting up new products on policy management systems.
  • Provide feedback and reports to insurers regarding binder agreements.
  • Manage escalated queries from claims and underwriting teams.
  • Ensure staff receive necessary training and oversee team development.
  • Execute final authorizations for claims payments on specific schemes.
  • Coordinate claim evaluation discussions for repudiated claims.

Requirements:


  • Accumulated Personal and Commercial Credits relevant to professional qualifications.
  • RE5 regulatory examination as per the FSCA requirement.
  • NQF5 or higher preferred.
  • Extensive experience in Commercial and Personal claims.
  • Competency in Personal & Commercial Underwriting.
