Key Responsibilities:
Education and Experience
Manage and lead a team of operations controllers, drivers, and other staff members in the cross border transport division
Oversee and coordinate all aspects of cross border transport operations, including shipment planning, scheduling, tracking, and delivery
Manage and maintain the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and repaired as necessary
Develop and implement operational procedures and best practices to optimize efficiency and reduce costs
Monitor performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations to senior management
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing cross border transport and vehicle maintenance
Manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders, and address any issues that arise in a timely and professional manner
Develop and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the division, ensuring that all staff members are trained in and adhere to safety protocols and procedures
Ensure all staff members are appropriately trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively and efficiently
Manage and oversee the division's budget, and ensure all expenses are managed effectively and within budget constraints
Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve organizational goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or industry related qualifi cation in logistics or operations management
At least 5 years of experience in operations management in the transport industry, with a focus on cross border operations and fl eet management
Knowledge of cross border transport regulations, customs procedures, and relevant legislation
Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high performance teams
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
