Description

Our client, a prestigious engineering company, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced HSE Coordinator with a solid background in the petro-chem/refinery maintenance sector to join their team in Cape Town on contract.


KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

  • You will have a Matric, as well as a Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or Disaster Management, as well as an additional OSHA diploma or certificate
  • SACPCMP is essential, CHSM is advantageous.
  • You must have at least 35 years of supervisory experience, and a knowledge of Oil and Gas, Engineering, Marine, General Heavy Industry, OHSAct, ISO 45001, lifting, rigging, welding, cutting, general workshop activities.
  • You must be proficient in MS Office and have sound knowledge in Construction Regulations (you will undergo an exam), coupled with ISO 45001:2018 information and standard.
  • You must have knowledge of safety policies and procedures, excellent Incident Investigation skills, excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills / Excellent interpersonal skills
  • You must be analytical and have outstanding probability and decisionmaking skills with an attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • You must have effective organisational skills, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, and demonstrate sound work ethics.
  • You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
