URGENTLY seeking a
TEMPORARY SHER OFFICER (MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY) for a well-established concern - position based in _
Howick, KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

_


PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY POSSIBILITY OF POSITION BECOMING PERMANENT.

REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12.

Valid driver's license (Code 08 / 10).

1-3 year SHEQ qualification is essential.
-
3yrs+ previous working experience in the manufacturing industry is essential._

ISO9001/18001/14001 or Integrated SHEQ experience is a strong advantage.

Hazard Identification Risk Assessments (HIRA), and accident investigation training.

SHE auditing training.

Knowledge in compensation for occupational injuries and diseases act 130 of 1993.

Basic knowledge of the national environmental management waste act 59 of 2008.

Recording SHE statistics and conducting internal & external audit reports on a monthly basis and reporting to

the SHE Manager.

Assist with maintenance and continual improvement of all relevant company SHE work instructions, forms and

risk assessments.

Assist with PPE sourcing and purchasing including inventory and issues as well as ensuring with Branch

Managers that PPE is issued to all employees and is used accordingly throughout the site.

Assist with risk assessments and hazard identification as indicated by the SHE Manager and reporting them to

ensure that all employees, visitors and contractors are safe when entering the site.

Co-ordinate SHE mandatory training and induction training for all contractors, new employees and visitors to

ensure compliance as per legislature.

Assist with incident and accident investigation reports as well as following up with COID claims from the

relevant people as directed by the SHE Manager.

Co-ordinate occupational hygiene surveys, as directed by the SHE Manager.

Schedule and co-ordinate fire and emergency response drills and record actions raised as well following up on

the effectiveness of the actions taken.
