A leading Southern African manufacturer, importer, wholesaler, and distributor of quality LED lighting is looking to employ a Marketing Manager.


OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


The primary responsibility is to attract more customers to buy from the company and to raise brand awareness through the creation of marketing campaigns.


QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • BCom Degree/Diploma in Marketing or Equivalent
  • Experience in social media and other digital marketing channels.
  • 510 years working experience as a Marketing Manager
  • Competitor Analysing experience
  • Market Research experience
  • Experience as a language editor will be an added advantage.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Product Knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generating new business leads.
  • Increasing brand awareness and market share.
  • Coordinating marketing strategies with the sales, financial, public relations, and production departments.
  • Proactively ensure that all design work, advertising, signage, promotions, and activations are done timeously.
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding marketing material and ensuring that the best pricing is obtained.
  • Initiate marketing campaigns supported by research and recommend promotions of products based on previous promotions, peak periods, and sales analysis.
  • Develop, implement, and control the company's marketing strategy.
  • Create and prepare an annual marketing budget.
  • Keeping informed of marketing strategies and trends.
  • Coordination of marketing campaigns with customer and sales activities and measuring results against date in order to forecast business impact or opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Creating a wide range of different marketing and display materials.
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches, campaigns, and activations. Quality and Compliance
