PASPWA has been successfully implementing comprehensive services across the HIV and TB care continuum in Limpopo in the past 20 years, targeting key and vulnerable populations, including Transgender people.

PASPWA is recruiting to fill the following position to continue driving health services intervention.

Basic Functions:


To work closely with community members, local service providers and community structures to sensitize them on human rights and human rights violations of key and vulnerable population.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Anti
  • Stigma & Discrimination Campaigns, Community Dialogues, and Promotion of Legal Literacy and Addressing Structural Barriers towards accessibility to healthcare services;
  • Strengthening HIV related Legal Support services, contribution towards improving Laws, Regulations and Policies regarding TG people;
  • Support, Case finding, broaden referral networks and strengthen related support;
  • Capacity building / Training Interventions;
  • Effective, Accurate Information Documentation, Data capturing and Timeous Reporting.

Job requirements:


Education:


  • Grade twelve (12) and Certificate in Human Rights or any related field is required.

Experience Required:


  • Three (3) years of relevant experience working in an NGO or organization that deals with Human Rights advocacy. Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relations with other relevant stakeholders. Experiencing of working in a gender diverse environment, Human Rights and Activism.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:


  • Be able to work independently;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and able to advocate the matter at hand;
  • Time management, conflict management, problemsolving skill, probing skills, approachable, ability to delegate and follow up, networking ability, team player and ability to multitask;
  • Effective communication within a multidisciplinary team comprising of nurses, medical officers, community health workers and peer educators;
  • Build sound relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • Be expected to travel to various communities as and when required.
