Description

Role purpose:


Building, Reporting and Analysis of all Vodacom SA's Costing needs, Segment Profitability, Cost to Carry, Direct Costs, A & R and Supporting all Regulatory enquiries and support FBP in all relevant costing enquiries.


Your responsibilities will include:


Building, Reporting and Analysis of all Vodacom SA's costing Models
Create a Costing Centre of Excellence. Develop and Implement Accounting Separations / Cost Model Solutions.


Reporting and Analysis of Vodacom SA's Segment Profitability
Drive the correct Opex allocation to enable segment level profitability


Reporting and Analysis of Vodacom SA's Direct Costs and A & R costs
Provide report to Top Management within Vodacom SA, perform variance analysis, and provide detail explanations for deviations.


Reporting and Analysis of Vodacom SA's Cost to Carry
Provide C2C report to Top Management within Vodacom SA, perform variance analysis, and provide detail explanations for deviations.


Supporting all Regulatory enquiries and support FBP in all relevant costing enquiries
Support on various ad hoc costing exercises - like regulatory and ad hoc business cases in the BU's support

Develop and Implement Accounting Separations / Cost Model Solutions according to management and regulatory requirements;
Conduct Research
Manage Cost Modelling and Reporting
Manage change
Manage Relationships
Provide Specialist Consultation and Support
Compile Documentation
Ensure Statutory Compliance


Segment Profitability Reporting
Develop segment profitability model

Develop and manage opex segment allocation drivers to be used in segment profitability model - 5 vol metric VF minimum STD.

Manage relationships with stakeholders (segments)
Provide segment profitability reports
Provide Vodafone with opex segment allocations half yearly for external reporting.


Cost to Carry Reporting
Deliver the cost to carry models - per service type
Deliver the single metric cost to carry models aligned to Vodafone methodology
Drive the adoption of cost to carry in all business cases
Provide Cost to Carry Reports
Provide Vodafone with Cost to Carry assumptions yearly


Direct Cost and A& R reporting
Develop client level profitability model to track Fixed Margins
Deliver monthly direct cost reporting with insightfully variance analysis
Deliver monthly A & R reporting with insightfully variance analysis


Supporting all FBP and Regulatory
Gives full analytical and cost compiling support to regulatory, when ICASA requires costing information.
Any costing related support required from the FBP, provides the needed costing information or costing consultation


Qualifications:

A relevant B.Com Honours Degree or equivalent (essential).
CA (SA) (desirable), MBA (advantage)


Experience:

6-8 years relevant Telco working experience
3-5 years ABC costing and modelling experience (essential)
2 years of managerial experience (essential)
MS Access or SQL database (desirable)
