IT Technician - Milnerton - Cape Town

Qualifications:

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification
A+ Certificate
Minimum of 5 years of experience working in IT operations
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, data storage systems, and phone systems
Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively

Requirements:

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including MPLS, SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, and IP subnets
Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
Familiarity with remote access tools such as Anydesk, TeamViewer, and Remote Desktop
Knowledge of various access points, routers, and switches, including Unify
Ability to support VoIP phones and a 3CX VoIP Phone System
Experience with network installations, including fiber and Cat5e installations
Installation and support of CCTV cameras
Ability to support, troubleshoot, and install signature pads, credit card machines, scanners, and printers
Familiarity with Fortigate Firewall
Knowledge of Yealink Video Conferencing
Drivers license

Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components of computer and network systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
Repair and replace damaged computer and network components
Provide support to individuals experiencing challenges with computers and network devices
Perform a variety of daytoday equipment support, installations, and desktop IT support at other branches
