The Carpentry department requires a committed, hardworking and reliable Painter/Handyman to join their team.

The Painter/Handyman will be responsible for the following tasks, amongst others:

Maintaining building structures and upkeep of the aesthetics thereof
Measuring, cutting and disassembling or assembling various components
Various maintenance and new installations on buildings, workshops and office spaces
Repairing, maintaining and renovating different structures, tools, equipment and appliances throughout the workplace
Paint work for various projects, office space, workshops, parking bays and demarcation areas
Prepare and erect timber framed partitions, Prepare and fit wall paneling
Perform tasks using rough sketches and dimensions
Repair equipment or appliances where possible
Perform regular inspections in order to identify areas requiring attention
Adherence to Health and Safety regulations
Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of workshop safety
Assisting the Carpentry department with various adhoc duties
Assisting various maintenance teams and Artisans with adhoc tasks as and when required

Qualifying Criteria:

Grade 1
Basic knowledge of Health and Safety rules
Ability to handle tools i.e. cutting machines
Previous experience in the same or similar role advantageous
Adhere to Health and Safety rules and regulations

Physically fit (Strength to handle materials, tools and machines)

Able to work in a team as well as independently
