The purpose of this role is to deliver, evaluate and report on facilitated and training interventions for internal and external stakeholders promoting efficiency and improving of skills.


Working at NTT

Facilitate and deliver training

  • Delivers learning interventions in line with annual training targets and/or needs
  • Conducts Leadership, Management, soft skills and accredited training courses for internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitates and delivers accredited learning interventions to standards determined by Services Seta, MICT Seta and QCTO
  • Prepares for programme delivery by planning and organizing the programme structure, programme delivery plan (including the lesson plan), supporting instructional documentation and materials in alignment with required processes
  • Facilitates programme delivery in the form of instruction for facetoface, blended and online learning
  • Ensures targeted outcomes of the programme are met through the quality delivery of programme facilitation and related tasks adapting instructional materials to meet learner needs including but not limited to learning styles and special needs
  • Communicates timeously and effectively with internal and external stakeholders including updating on special projects
  • Prepare instructional materials, presentations, facilitators guide, participant guide and handouts following the principles of adult learning
  • Enhances the learning and development experience through the facilitation of training, initiatives and platforms
  • Offers detailed support to improve Merchants Academy learning programmes and content and participate in the development and deployment of customised programmes based on the needs identified
  • Work on strategic projects that evaluates the effectiveness of the learning programmes and incorporate the findings in the redesign of the programmes
  • Ensures that all learning and development interventions adhere to company procedure policy and legislation (Merchants QMS)
  • Engages with internal and external stakeholders determining relevancy of course material and design
  • Accesses and uses Flex to present, share, upload, and collect learning programme documentation, materials, and submissions
  • Accesses and uses Flex to download required learning reports to support programme facilitation
  • Stays current with trends within learning and development facilitation and employ tools and methodologies that ensures adherence to best practice
  • Engages in professional development to ensure quality and high standards in training and learning
  • Provides a positive learning experience and engagement with participants, promoting a positive and interactive engagement and learning environment

Assessment and assignment preparation, execution, feedback and reporting

  • Assess competency of the learner against unit standards and exit level outcomes of the programme
  • Explain the assessment process and the required outcomes of the programme and assessment to the learners
  • Provide constructive feedback on the assessment outcomes to the learners
  • Records the outcomes of the assessment results in alignment with requirements for SETA submission and final moderation of Portfolios of Evidence (POEs)
  • Ensures completion of learning assessments and assignments and incorporates feedback into learning intervention for improvement
  • Adherence to Assessment principles as outlined and described by SAQA in the Criteria and Guidelines for the Assessment of NQF registered Unit standards and Qualifications (SAQA, 2001)

Tracking record keeping and reporting

  • Gather, prepare, and submit all required learner and programme documentation for SETA compliance, Portfolios of Evidence (POEs), BBBEE reporting and ATR submissions
  • Monitors learner programme engagement and progress against activities, submissions, and requirements
  • Ensures completion of learner attendance and registration in line with programme requirements for both accredited and nonaccredited programmes
  • Compiles and deliver accurate reports and statistics against programme facilitation and delivery plan and any additional requirements
  • Monitors and downloads required learning reports from FLEX
  • Accurately record all learning and development interventions
  • Compiles and presents management with monthly train
