Location:
Montague Gardens, Western Cape
Description:
A leading provider of innovative and highquality equipment solutions for the meat processing industry requires a dedicated Senior Production Quality Controller to analyze and prevent online quality and food safety issues on the production floor and to assure a compliant product and efficient production output.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Oversee/supervise daily functions of PQC
make sure they are being done correctly
Train new/incoming PQCs
Assisting supervisor and shift manager with product quality related issues
Oversee training matrix for all shifts assist with training with new food safety manager
Checking on paperwork on the floor if all are being filled properly on daily basis
Oversee special projects/continuous improvement in production as required:
Cleaning equipment throughout the plant
GMP cleaning inspection and improvements throughout the shifts in both
Customer complaint assistance all production related complaints
Follow up on reworks with the lab and keep shift report updated
Product sequence analysis and changing or improving if necessary
To follow up and provide with correct information about reworks on the floor and make sure they get done correctly
Root cause analysis of reworks and complaints
PQC function in the absence of a PQC on shift
Assisting Production manager:
Cleaning chemical management and ordering
Work with supervisors on cleaning equipment management
Key Requirements:
BSc Chemistry/Biochemistry or B-Tech Degree in Chemistry or Food Technology. Experience and knowledge of food processing, food analysis (lab analysis), food safety/quality standards (e.g. HACCP, FSSC22000, ISO9001 etc.). A minimum of 3 years relevant experience within a manufacturing environment.
