Description

The successful incumbent will be responsible for executing accounting functions for the Infrastructure Solutions in Zambia and Swaziland. This includes but is not limited to the budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and month-end closure for the business units.

The role also requires the Accountant to take ownership of the balance sheet reconciliations, orders reporting and working capital management.

The Financial Controller will also ensure that all accounting-related tasks are professionally executed according to company and legal requirements

Requirements:

3+ years' working experience
Ability to draw out a monthly budget and compile a detailed forecast while considering Annuity Base, Employee costs, Overheads, Recoveries etc.
Knowledge of processing the necessary cost and revenue accruals and deferrals
Experience handling monthend closure, reviewing revenue and costs per business unit and category against forecast and investigating variations to the forecast
Must be able to analyze low margin or high contracts for correctness, do various reporting to facilitate the business units performance review, and assist with the reviewing and approval of commission calculations after consulting with the auditors.
Proven ability to process and submit the VAT and tax returns and prepare annual financial statements

Salary:
R590, R595,000.00 per year
