Counterhand

Purpose of the role
The counterhand plays a key role in day-to
- day operations of the business. The aim of the counterhand is to ensure that all products are on display and at the correct counter by opening of business daily.

  • Reporting To_:
  • Subordinates_: NOT APPLICABLE

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Keep counters clean, neat, and presentable.
  • Ensure counters are packed to desired levels, eye catching and appetizing for customers.
  • Assist Blockman when cutting meat and where necessary.
  • Required to operate machinery and equipment with sharp objects.
  • Pack and wrap products to customer satisfaction.
  • Be attentive when packing, weighing, and labelling products to avoid any losses.
  • Reach daily, weekly and monthly targets
  • Conduct monthly stock take.
  • Follow company health and safety procedures and standards.
  • Assist other departments when required.
  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the manager.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • A valid Matric Certificate.
  • Customer Focused
  • Excellent communication skills, problemsolving and interpersonal skills.
  • Sober habits
- working with dangerous equipment and sharp objects.

  • Accurate and attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Able to work in a team.
  • Physically fit.
