Job description

Effective cost control through efficient safety management practices
Effective selfmanagement in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth workflows.
Accurate, timely completion of Safety Officer's Inspection and Logbook
Accurate, timely, thorough investigations of incidents / accidents
Proactive risk mitigation and compliance
Monitoring the effectiveness of the campaigns, codes of practice and proactive measures which have

- been put in place to support the Business Management System

Effective selfmanagement in alignment with M&RC's value

Minimum requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent
National Diploma in Safety / Risk Management or equivalent at NQF Level 6 [advantageous]
Trade Certificate / Blasting Certificate

SAMSOC 1 &

Investigation / Tap Root training (preferred)
Audit certification for ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 1800
Good English verbal and written communication skills
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role in the mining sector
Ability to conduct investigations and record findings
Experience in relevant safety principles and systems
