Key Responsibilities of a Project Manager

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Systems Engineers, and project stakeholders to define project scope.
  • Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and deliverables for each project team member.
  • Organize high-level software design sessions.
  • Lead project effort estimation sessions.
  • Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project plan using tools like MS Project.
  • Set up JIRA projects and create tickets to execute the project plan.
  • Establish a workflow agreed upon by all project members.
  • Communicate project plans, meeting minutes, and reports effectively.
  • Conduct impact analysis for project changes.
  • Oversee the project change management process.
  • Prepare project contractual documents for client approval.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
  • Organize project meetings such as daily standups, retrospectives, risk resolution, and status check-ins.
  • Manage and monitor project schedules using JIRA and MS Project.
  • Collaborate with System Engineers, Architects, and Team Leads to address project requirements.
  • Motivate and lead the project team effectively.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the product being developed in the project.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure tasks are completed as per plan.
  • Foster relationships with different company departments crucial for project success.
  • Understand the software release process and manage multiple releases efficiently.
  • Create both functional and non-functional documentation.
  • Document the Software release plan accurately.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Information Sciences.
  • Minimum of 4 years of technical Project Management experience.
  • At least 2 years of project management experience in a software development setup.
  • Project management certification desirable.
  • Proficiency in Agile Principles and SDLC.
  • Familiarity with Software design principles.
