Key Performance Area:

Develop/implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations
Schedule building/equipment maintenance as needed. Ensure factory machinery is in good working order
Plan preventative maintenance/reduce machinery down time
Plan/oversee production according to customer orders and build buffer stock level
Communicate production plan with supervisors and factory staff to ensure customer delivery times are met
Analyze production data to identify and resolve any production issues
Optimize machine usage, productivity and reduce wastage
Order required raw materials
Prepare production reports and submit to key decisionmakers
Regularly inspect finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
Collaborate with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
Attend to HR related matters (Hiring of personnel, Motivating staff, Staff training, Planning of shutdown and Disciplinary hearings)
Motivate factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.
Screen, recruit and train new factory workers.
Adhere and enforce occupational, health and safety act. Section 16(2) assistant to the CEO appointment.
Attend production, management and other related meetings.
Attend other factory management functions, including maintenance and security
Comply with and enforce FSC standards
