The Opportunity:

We currently have x 2 opportunities in ASIA for expat safety leaders who can bring solid training, mentoring and coaching skills to improve the construction of a large processing mining facility.

You will leading multinational safety teams across a large site and be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the entire department.

A key part of the position will be developing and implementing strategy, systems, programs in order to continually improve performance and safety standards of the local workforce.

Key Focus:

• Coaching & developing multinational workforce
• Maintain compliance with the safety management plan and systems
• Improve safe work practises
• Lead and set standards for health & safety team
• Identify training needs, plan and conduct training sessions
• Improve contractor management
• OHS training systems
• Implement corrective and preventative actions across site
• Upskill workforce to Western standards by imparting knowledge

Core Competencies:

• Construction H&S leadership experience
• Large projects (5 years minimum)
• Expatriate experience in Africa, PNG, Asia, South America, Pacific (Highly desired)
• Strong coaching ability
• Ability to lead with authority and influence across a large site
• Experience of operating on challenging sites
• Qualifications related to OHS
