Applications for the following position are invited from suitably qualified interested parties.
Due to the expansion of activities and growth of the operation a new Financial Director position has become available.


Short Description:

Reporting to Regional Financial Director, the Financial Director will be a key member of the Bell Equipment (Deutschland) GmbH (BG) leadership team and will work as business partner to the Board of BG.

You will be fully responsible for the financial management of the BG and will operate within the framework of the Bell Group's policies, procedures, controls frameworks and schedule of authorities.


BG is comprised for the following divisions:
Sales and Distribution, European Logistics Centre, and the Kindel Assembly Plant.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategy and Business Management

  • Provide expert insight and direction to BG on all financial matters to ensure decisions are based on data with financial integrity.
  • Contribute to strategic plan development for BG and the development of the group approved strategy for BG.

Policies, Procedures and Controls

  • Manage compliance by BG with group policies and procedures, controls frameworks and schedules of authorities.
  • Maintain good relations with and support internal audit and external audit at BG.
  • Timeously address control deficiencies identified by external and internal audit at BG.
  • Report compliance to impacted Stakeholders.

Analysing, Recording and Reporting for BG

  • Manage BG reporting in compliance with the group requirements, format, and deadlines and in accordance with IFRS and the group accounting policies as well as in accordance with local reporting standards for local reporting and statutory purposes.
  • Ensure that BG maintains monthly working paper files and reconciliations of a high standard. Review these files monthly.
  • Review and approve monthly results and group reporting packs of BG prior to submission to group for consolidation and ensure any Group Finance queries are investigated and cleared timeously.
  • Manage all financial accounting and transaction processing activities of BG, in particular the product costing function and variance analysis at the Kindel Assembly Plant.
  • Review and analyse business performance and report high quality financial information efficiently, effectively, and timeously to business and relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee tax compliance for BG
  • Provide input into group results reporting as and when required.

Risk Management

  • Identify and manage risks timeously
  • Measure and report risk exposure within group framework

Finance Team Management

  • Ensure that BG is resourced with adequate and appropriately skilled financial staff.
  • Manage the performance of the BG finance workforce against approved KPA's which are aligned with the group financial controls frameworks.

Budgeting and Forecasting:


  • Identify opportunities for improved financial performance.
  • Prepare financial forecasts as required by reginal and group management.
  • Manage the budget process for all BG divisions, including reviewing and approving budgets, in line with the requirements of the group budget process.

Working capital management:


  • Manage liquidity of BG and its investment in working capital
  • Oversee credit management for BG
  • Manage BG interaction and cooperation with group treasury function.

Stakeholder Management:


  • Manage relationships with group functions.
  • Manage BG financial institution relationships and adherence to covenants.
  • Manage regulatory, compliance bodies and external audit relationships.
  • Manage BG corporate governance jointly with BG Managing Directors
  • Participate in managing employee stakeholder relationships.

Requirements:


  • Professionally qualified accountant
  • 510 years experience in a similar environment
  • Hands on approach must be willing to travel frequently between BG divisions.
  • SAP experience an advantage.
  • Sound financial management, budget, working capital and cash flow management experience.
  • Strong German GAAP and IFRS knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Sound people and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and team player at both regional and group level
