Position: 8 Month - Freelance Junior Designer

Dentsu Creative South Africa is seeking to appoint a junior designer.

This is a freelance position over 8 months - based in Cape Town and will report directly to the Editor.

The successful applicant will be required to work in office and remote working will be limited.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities:

Trend research and input at editorial brainstorm sessions
Following the creative design process of fashion and lifestyle magazines from concept through to end product.
Ensuring all work produced is consistent and onbrand
Creating and sourcing photography and illustrations under the leadership of the art director.
Review and implement internal design changes.

Key requirements:

A tertiary qualification in graphic design
At least 2 years' experience in graphic design
Experience in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
A creative and innovative personality
The ability to work under pressure and have lots of energy and drive
Great organisational skills, deadlinedriven and the ability to manage time well
A selfstarter who enjoys working in a team, but has the ability to work independently
The ability to multitask with high attention to detail
A keen interest in pop culture, urban trends and the fashion and lifestyle industries (advantageous).
