Customer Service Representative - Brackenfell
Salary:
R12-15K Negotiable
Purpose of Position:
The purpose of the Customer Service Representative is to ensure all customer needs and requirements for our services are met on time.
We want our clients to experience our skilled communicative customer service agents, providing a level of service they will benefit from when partnering with our business on every shipment.
Providing exceptional customer service is essential in this position, as is building professional, key relationships with our client base. This is a permanent position, office based, with room for growth within the company.The business is growing and we are looking for new team members who want to be join a company that supports its employees, as we do our clients.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric; Certificate in Freight; Logistics; Transport or similar qualification advantageous
- 3 Years in the Freight Industry understand the industry, the demands, processes & broker shipments
- Parcel Perfect experience non negotiable
- International & Domestic Freight Shipments
- Air Freight, Imports, Exports, Express Freight, Road Freight, Customs, Cross Border, Break-Bulk, Brokerage experience essential
- Experience dealing with customer telephonically/in person assisting in customer service related issues, delayed shipments, delivery etc.
- English, Afrikaans excellent spoken and written communication skills (international client base)
Duties:
- Help manage current customer accounts.
- Deal with a high volume of inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Maintain relationships with carriers and customers.
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers and carriers.
- Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve issues.
- Provide shipment quotes for customers and set up shipments as required by customers.
- Excellent multitasking skills within their work space as well as computer software programs.
- Be a professional representative of our company that other employees look up to.
Skills And Knowledge:
- Computer Literacy
- Internet & Microsoft Office
- Parcel Perfect experience non negotiable
- Database & Order processing systems software
- Ability to calculate in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence, excellent grammar.
- Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to train and mentor employees on systems and processes
- High quality written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Accurate and able to produce quality work
- Dependable, reliable, punctual
- Problem solver, excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in teams and open to others' views
