Sponsorship Co-ordinator:

Work within the Events and Sponsorship department of a leading security company. The recruit will be based in the Westrand, (Helderkruin).

Sponsorship Co-ordinator role is a junior manager role for someone, who has a great understanding of the Sport and the game of rugby, and is passionate about the sport, people, and relationships.

This role will be responsible for the co-ordination of Sponsorship activities. This includes physical and administrative elements of events, promotions, roadshows etc. The position will report directly into the Group Events and Sponsorship Manager


Responsibilities include:


  • Assisting Group Sponsorships and Events Manager to ensure all existing agreements are in place in terms of the SLA.
  • Ensure that sponsors are integrated into as many aspects of promotional campaigns as possible.
- creative ways to increase sponsor engagement and satisfaction.

  • Assist with developing collateral to support Sponsorship activities and campaigns.
  • Monitoring the status of current sponsorships to ensure that all commitments are met by both parties.
  • Keeping the company Group Sponsorships and Events Manager informed about upcoming events and opportunities for exposure through sponsorship.
  • Planning and executing sponsor events and activations, working with other departments to ensure that all Fidelity Brands are represented at sponsorship event. This includes promotions, event scheduling, set ups, cost management and management thereof.
  • Managing a company's database of potential leads from Sponsorship database, and lead generated from the sponsorship event.
  • Handling of all aspects of ticketing and hospitality at all the Stadiums.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor sponsorships to identify new opportunities.
  • Drive the promotions and sponsorship function to ensure successful measurable campaigns.
  • Maintain brand identity/ be the custodian of the brand.
  • Administrative responsibilities including monthly and weekly reports on the status of current sponsorships and ROI.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing and communications / Sport management.
  • Must have a valid driver's Code 10 / 14 driver's licence.
  • Experience within a sports marketing/sponsorship
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the. Inviting, enthusiastic, always positive and affirming of others
  • Effective discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive materials.

Beneficial knowledge and skills:


  • Has previously developed Project management and communications skills that support sales.
  • Excellent knowledge of Sport especially rugby and the marketing, including marketing strategies and marketing platforms.
  • Ability to inform, persuade, convince, and negotiate with various parties for the achievement of goals whilst ensuring excellent stakeholder management and relationships.
  • Ability to build and execute project plans.
  • Forward looking and innovative in exploring new business opportunities.
  • Ability to properly evaluate risks and derive solutions to manage risks.
