Description
Minimum requirements for the role:
- A minimum of matric with ideally a science or related qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Previous sales experience having sold industrial chemical raw materials within the chemical manufacturing and related industries is essential for the role.
- Previous sales experience having called on customers within the metal / surface treatment and or beverage can manufacture industry is preferred.
- Must have good communication skills, be presentable and be able to present to all levels of management.
- Managing key accounts and to developing new product portfolios within the beverage can manufacturing and metal working fluids markets
- Controlling stock and demand forecasts at customer sites and at consignment stores in conjunction with customers.
- Technically assisting key account customers on the use of products as well as conducting line trials on customer sites etc.
- Presenting reports to senior management.
- Achieving monthly sales and profit targets to ensure budgeted price and profit levels are achieved and maintained.
- Complying with defined environmental and quality procedures and identifying and communicating customer environmental and quality requirements and expectations in due time.
- Maintaining customer data on sales force platform and updating gains and losses, opportunities and risk information frequently.
