Description
Our client that offers alternative energy solutions is seeking a Solar Technical Assistant to join their team in Johannesburg.

The Solar Technical Assistant will be completing quotations, nationally. Traveling will be depending on active sites. There is a company vehicle to be used with sites with a driver that will go to sites.

Managing Executive


Salary:
R R24 000 per Month (Depending on experience and qualifications)


Requirements:


  • Matric completed
  • Electrical qualification would be beneficial
  • 2 years' experience in installations
  • Knowledge and experience in solar and solar geyser installations
  • Technical skills
  • Able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • To be able to follow correct processes and procedures
  • Be able to handle multiple projects, prioritize work and work effectively under limited supervision
  • Excel "must"
  • Ability to work in a highpressure environment
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Key areas of Assistant General:

  • Gaining new clients
  • Gaining new suppliers
  • Managing staff and reporting to Managing Executive
  • Site Visits
  • Offer various solutions.
  • Quotations for new projects and following up on proposed Quotations
  • Closing the deal

Responsibilities include:

  • The Solar Technician's assistant will be involved in all Solar installations
  • The Solar Technician's assistant is responsible for assisting and reporting all preventative and corrective maintenance on the solar installations while making sure all HSE procedures are followed.
  • The Technician must ensure maximum availability and performance ratio of the solar installation and report on all events.

Salary:
R16, R24,000.00 per year


Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • High School (matric) (required)

Experience:

- solar
Technical Assistant: 2 years (required)
- solar and solar geyser installations: 2 years (required)
- gaining new suppliers: 2 years (required)


License/Certification:
- code 8 and car (required)
