Job Description:

Role Profile Description

Monitor Combined assurance strategy and activities across Consumer Products and actively participate in the combined assurance forum.
Establish risk appetite in conjunction with the business, to ensure that the business maintains exposure in line with this appetite based on a balanced risk/reward decision.
Drive the embedment of the Critical Process Assessment and Risk and Control Self Assessment, promoting the integration of operational risk consideration into all riskreward decisions and general business management.

Governance and Framework

Check and challenge Operational Risk governance followed by first line of defense;
Check and challenge governance where 3rd Party vendors offer services to the business area;
Own and manage secondline governance, where applicable.
Review and challenge critical process assessments;
Weigh in and challenge the Operational risk ratings in EB;
Provide input to the Group Policy and Standards; and
Contribute to the Operational Risk committees and forums.

Risk, Execution, and Appetite

Perform and conduct independent Operational Risk policy and standard conformance testing across Consumer Products. This includes selfassessments and detailed assessments across Consumer Products
Conduct independent CPA / RCSA assurance testing for Consumer Products and provide independent reporting on the outcomes of controls assessed.
Conduct independent assurance testing and deep dives on Critical and Major rated issues identified within Consumer Products
Where applicable, provide and give guidance to the BU 1st Line of Defense: specialist Operational risk guidance and support to management, including developing proposed solutions for areas where remediation is required, in support of the area's strategy

Risk Reporting

Review and Challenge the first line of defense reporting on the risk profile giving consideration to the identified Risk Events/ Issues identified per Principal Risk
Draft and compile risk reports that provide an independent assessment of the outcomes and outcomes of the control achieved
Ensure all issues are discussed with the BU Risk Heads prior to issuing the report
Represent the area in reporting forums across the Bank and with external parties such as assurance providers and Regulators.

Education

Bachelor's Degrees and Advanced Diplomas:
Business, Commerce and Management Studies (required)
