    Welcome to RPO Recruitment We are currently partnering with a leading retail company in Cape Town that is seeking a passionate and talented Fashion Designer to join their dynamic team. If you have a flair for design and a love for the fashion industry, this could be the perfect opportunity for you

    As a Fashion Designer, you will have the opportunity to unleash your creativity and create stunning designs that will captivate customers and represent the brand's unique identity. In collaboration with a team of skilled professionals, you will be responsible for creating designs, selecting fabrics and trims, and overseeing the entire design process from concept to final product.

    In this role, you will need to stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends and market demands to ensure your designs are fresh, unique, and appealing to the target audience. If you have a friendly and positive demeanor, excellent design skills, and a genuine passion for fashion, we would love to hear from you.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs for the fashion brand
    • Collaborate with a team of designers, merchandisers, and buyers to develop design concepts
    • Research current fashion trends and consumer preferences
    • Select fabrics, colors, and trims that align with the brand's image
    • Oversee the entire design process, from sketching to final product
    • Communicate design ideas and specifications to manufacturers and suppliers
    • Ensure designs meet market needs and are commercially viable
    • Stay updated on industry trends, fashion shows, and trade fairs

    Requirements

    • Proven work experience as a Fashion Designer in the retail industry
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity and design skills
    • Expertise in design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Knowledge of current fashion trends, fabrics, and trims
    • Excellent sketching and illustration skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail
    • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
