ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Cognia Law is recruiting a highly efficient People and Culture Coordinator to join our team of dynamic young lawyers. Working as a valued member of the people and Culture team you will provide efficient and effective administrative support.

This will include recruitment support, new starter and leaver administration, maintaining and updating employee records and supporting the administration of employee lifecycle events.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:


  • Degree/ National Diploma / Certificate in Human Resources and/or Business Administration.
  • 4+ years _proven_ experience within a HR/Recruitment administration role.
  • Professional, wellgroomed and articulate.
  • Peoples person by nature.

REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with stakeholders from different disciplines and with a remote team.
  • Able to work both independently and as an integral part of a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to operate well in highpressure environments.
  • Strong team player.
  • Risk sensitivity and the ability to know when to escalate an issue.

DUTIES INCLUDE:


  • Managing the leave and People and Culture calendar.
  • Assisting at various stages of the recruitment process.
  • Managing the background screening process.
  • Arranging inductions for new joiners.
  • Ensure that all personnel files are correct and up to date.
  • Managing the onboarding and offboarding of staff.
  • Updating of powerpoint presentations.
  • Assisting with the performance review process.
  • Full administration support for the People and Culture department.
  • Perform any workrelated tasks as requested.
