About the Role:


To support the business in maintaining and enhancing human resource management activities in the organisation by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources activities such as recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations, benefits administration, and any other activity related to of the organization to maximize the strategic use of human resources.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Direct and support the Site HR team to deliver on the comprehensive HR strategy of the business
  • Employee Relations: Managing absenteeism, disciplinary and grievances issues
  • Recruitment and Selection of staff
  • Management the of HR administration processes
  • Representation of the company in arbitration and conciliation matters
  • Ensure effective HR reporting
  • Ensure employee wellness/benefits are managed accordingly
  • Effective handling of special projects
  • Effective maintenance of EE Plans.
  • Effectively drive the Talent agenda for the site

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:


  • Completed Bachelors Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology or equivalent (Post Grad Preferable)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior HR Role, combined with a successful track record working within the HR field
  • Manufacturing Industry experience (nonnegotiable)
  • Experience working in a unionised environment (nonnegotiable)
  • Passion for people development and relationship building
  • Exceptional problemsolving and analytical skills (multiple complex analyses simultaneously)
  • Good planning and project management skills.
